Chapter 7

OPEN CONTEST!

A WIZARD TESTS HIS POWER!

I stopped at a village to preach the Gospel one afternoon after the first encounter with that elderly man in the previous chapter. I parked by the roadside about thirty yards away from the man's house. It was the same man that had conjured devils to attack me in the first encounter with him while I was preaching, and I was not hurt. He knew that God must have been by my side, but he did not know how a young man like me could have come close to God so soon.

When the man heard the voice of my loudspeaker again in front of his house, he rushed out with a great shout, calling all people around to come, saying that the preacher had arrived again. I was surprised; I thought, Maybe the man will accept Jesus as his Lord today, whereas he simply wanted to try another spritual power against me, since the first ones he had used to attack me had failed.

Many people gathered around my vehicle listening to the Gospel, but this man that called them went aside and sat at a distance, commanding and conjuring some new supernatural devils he must have recently researched, to knock the preacher down.

I did not notice what he was doing. I was even beckoning to this man to come and be prayed for, instead of sitting far off.

After about fifteen minutes of preaching and explaining salvation to the congregation, I glanced at the man, who was in a type of deep concentration. I did not know he was calling certain wicked spirits from the pit.

At a point in the preaching, I had to point to the sky to explain a topic to the crowd, and it was just on time for me to see that, directly on top of my head, standing in the air with a heavy club in his hand, was the devilish giant spirit that man had called to knock me down on the pulpit. He had lifted up the club to strike when I looked up. In that twinkling of an eye, I said "Be bound!" And immediately, in Jesus' name, the supernatural being was in chains, so quick and with lightning speed, so much that the club he was holding fell from his hand upon my head, which caused a slight ache at the point it touched.

At that instance, the man himself who had been conjuring the devil against me trembled on his seat noticeably, about to fall from the chair he sat upon. That meant he had seen the whole episode, and when his "agent" was put in chains, he fell back on his seat and quickly recovered himself.

Someone may ask, "Did the crowd see the supernatural being in the air?" They needed to have their eyes opened to see it, or at least they had to critically observe and discern a difference in the wind above our head. But with the gift of discernment that the Holy Ghost gives, a Christian can see or feel such appearances (1 Cor.12:10).

Behold, these experiences are not isolated to my person alone; many God-chosen ministers of the Gospel will tell you of such transparent occurrences, in seeing and feeling. These are not often documented or perhaps never before were documented like this, but the Lord is allowing these to be written because it will help somebody, somewhere, to come to his senses and know that the spirit world is a reality! Heaven, therefore, is reality, just as hell is reality! Salvation through Jesus, therefore, is the only hope for man! Remember also that, delving into the spirit world without salvation through Jesus, as in the so-called transcendental meditation, means directly contacting devils, and they have no good things to offer you, just unrest, death, and hell in the end.

Jesus said, "All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers; but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door; by me if any man enter in he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly" (Jn. 10:8-10).

This can also be interpreted to mean that if any man contacts the spiritual world without going through Jesus, the man automatically falls amidst thieves and robbers.

How shall we escape, therefore, if we neglect so great salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him, God bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders and with diverse miracles and the gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his will? (Heb. 2:3-4).

Repent ye therefore, and be converted. "Take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness, and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all taking the shield of faith, with which ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God" (Eph.6:13-17).

God loves you!
